Dyscalculia Screener
Dyscalculia can only be diagnosed by a full assessment (see here). However, the Dyscalculia Screener offers an initial screener to see how far a pupil’s abilities and skills match those of people who have been found to have dyscalculia.
Indications that a student may be experiencing barriers as a consequence of a specific difficulty with numbers include:
-
difficulty in basic number tasks, such as counting backwards or remembering ‘number facts’.
-
difficulty with processing or working memory, such as a slow performance with calculations or challenges with multi-step problem
The screener is conducted online. Your child will need access to a large tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The cost is £60 (£50+VAT). I'll send you a log-in link for the test shortly after payment is received. I'll provide you with a report within 24 hours.
If you choose to pursue a full assessment later, the screening fee will be deducted from the total cost of the assessment.
