Living With Dyscalculia (It’s Not Just "Number Dyslexia")
Josie was diagnosed with Dyscalculia when she was 19. Dyscalculia is often described as "number dyslexia" but it's not quite as simple as that. It can affect your maths skills, reading clocks, remembering people's names or reading maps. Dyscalculia is actually one of the most underdiagnosed learning difficulties there is. Dyslexia is Rubbish and Awesome – Dyslexia Awareness Week Presentation
This is a presentation that I did for my school for Dyslexia Awareness Week 2019. I did it because I'm dyslexic and I wanted all the other kids in the school to know that while being dyslexic can be a bit rubbish, it can also be pretty awesome too. This is the video I showed – check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11r7CFlK2sc&t=51s A great book that we used as a source for this presentation is 'The Illustrated Guide to Dyslexia and its Amazing People' by Kate Powers and Kathy Iwanczak Forsyth. Amazon link here: https://tinyurl.com/y6otcjxr More information about Dyslexia Awareness Week and British Dyslexia Association: https://tinyurl.com/y3jc7hcv Thanks to my brother Jarvis who pops up in this video - he's ace! I hope you like this video. Fank yoo.
